Uttam School for Girls launched the ATAL TINKERING LAB on 1st September 2017 with week long science activities for the students of grade VI to XI. 
The event was marked by seminars, lectures by eminent scientists-:

 Mr. RM Bharadwaj, Head, Water Quality Management Division

Mr. Gaurav Kanwal Head of SMB & Education, South Asia,Abode systems.

Keeping the spirit of ATL in mind, the students of grade VI-XI performed various activities related to science and technology in daily life.

Hands on Arduino

The students of grade VI to IX had their hands on Arduino and made a circuit that followed the instructions given by the students.

Intoduction to ATL on 27/10/2017

The students of Uttam School For Girls were introduced with Atal Tinering Lab in the

pre Tinkering Session which emphasized on the main motive behind ATL & getting to know more about it.

Working with 3D Printer on 28/10/2017

The students of grade VIII-IX learnt about the working of the 3D Printer & printed various 3D objects using it. It was a new and an exciting experience.

Exploring the Bibox Kit on 28/10/2017

A teacher training workshop was organised for the Science department of the school wherein they learn to use and explore Bibox Kit.

Brainstorming innovative solutions-18/11/2017

The students of the ATL core team had their first workshop which focused on the first solution to a problem i.e Ideation. It was a great brainstorming session with students providing various innovative solutions to the given problems.

Introduction to sensors-30/12/2017

In this session the students learnt about various kinds of sensors and their working. These included pressure sensor, tact switch, temperature sensor, 7 segment device and dc motor. They checked the functioning of the sensors by doing programming on Bi-box app. 

More on sensors-6/01/2018

The students were introduced to various variables used in machine programming and worked on the Bi counter variable.They also learnt about resistors and circuits & got hands on the basic electronic kit. 

Abstract Art & Intelligent Fan on 13/4/18

As a part of the Atal Innovation Mission, the school celebrated Atal Community Day to commemorate Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s 127th Birth Anniversary.

The event saw participation of various schools across Delhi-NCR. The enthusiastic students were given the opportunity to explore the world of innovation through various exciting activities.

Keep Tinkering-21/5/18 to 30/5/18

Summer camp is all about fun, tinkering and learning. As a part of the summer camp, students of Uttam School for Girls got the opportunity to tinker their ideas and create something new and exhilarating.

Interactive session-2/07/2018

On 2nd July 2018, Uttam School For Girls hosted the "Mentors For Change" session with Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director of the Atal Innovation Mission and Ms. Debjani Ghosh,President of NASSCOM. The students from other ATL and Non ATL schools of Ghaziabad also joined us. Mr. Ramanan interacted with the students and encouraged them to "dare to dream big ". He also told them about the establishment of ATL to provide the students an environment where they can innovate through experiments .Ms. Ghosh told the students about her journey to success.She emphasised on the fact that everyone has to face stereotypes in their lives and it is always the best choice to overcome them by your abilities. The guests were also impressed by the projects that were displayed by the students.The session was concluded by our Principal Mrs.Sharmila Raheja who also extolled the students to think out of the box and be innovators.
